Jim - There are many trade offs in life and the subject of mufflers is among them. J.C. Whitney does indeed have some attractive buys. The quality however is somewhat lacking compared to a good name brand pipe. The metal thickness, the quality of chrome plate and the interior detail is not of the higher standard of say, my supertrapp. If you just want to get by cheap go for it at Whitney but consider this pipe as only temporary 'cause you'll probably be getting another sooner than with one of a higher quality. And, did I mention a custom fit meant for your particular bike?
